Country getaway at Rieuzal - a region with something for everyone

The Manoir de Rieuzal has a remarkable 180 degree view of the Dordogne Valley. Set atop a high ridge directly opposite the Château de Castelnau, the house has a long history in the area; there are arrow slits in the walls of the lower level indicating its probable Hundred Years' War origins. The current house took its present form in the late 1700s and was modernised in the 1990s. In WW2 it was used as a safe haven for the French Resistance. We are neighbours to a local walnut farm and enjoy the peaceful lifestyle this allows, whilst having quick and easy access to the nearby villages and towns. Breakfasts on the terrace and long walks in the countryside are part of daily life here. You will find your time easily filled with local attractions to suit every taste. We look forward to welcoming you to our little slice of paradise in South West France!
